Andrometa integrates blockchain technology to provide true digital ownership, with a sophisticated marketplace functionality that leverages PostgreSQL for efficient backend management. This hybrid approach creates an ecosystem that seamlessly blends centralized game features with decentralized asset control, while preserving the integrity of asset data through metadata.
Every avatar, weapon, armor, and item in Andrometa is initially stored server-side, allowing for smooth, high-performance gameplay. At this stage, each asset is assigned comprehensive metadata that includes its attributes, such as type, rarity, and any specific enhancements. When a player initiates a transaction in the Andrometa Marketplace—whether it's buying, selling, or trading—the item is tokenized at the point of transaction. During this tokenization, the asset's metadata is preserved and embedded into the token, ensuring all attributes are transferred transparently onto the blockchain.
After tokenization, the transaction is recorded both on-chain and in Andrometa's PostgreSQL database. This dual-recording maintains blockchain-level transparency while synchronizing the player's asset history seamlessly within the Andrometa ecosystem. Importantly, as each user’s wallet is directly connected to their Andrometa account, the asset's metadata is also updated within the database. This unified integration allows for the metadata to remain consistent across both environments, giving players complete visibility into the unique characteristics of their owned assets.
The Andrometa Marketplace is a peer-to-peer trading platform where players can buy, sell, and trade tokenized in-game assets. Blockchain smart contracts are used to automate these transactions, ensuring every trade is transparent, secure, and tamper-proof. Each tokenized item carries its metadata, which represents the asset's detailed properties—such as origin, modifications, and historical ownership—providing an immutable record of value and attributes. This builds trust in asset authenticity, allowing buyers and sellers to transact with confidence.
